Job description Job responsibilities Lead a safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service to allocated area Undertake professional and clinical pharmacists duties Provides expert pharmaceutical advice and support within both primary and secondary care services as required. Develop, encourage and promote evidence-based, cost effective use of medicines. To be involved in the training of diploma, pre-registration and other pharmacists in area of speciality. Assist in providing clinical training and supervision of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals. To be involved in the development and delivery of practice research, service and quality improvement Develop policies, protocols and guidelines within allocated area. Work in partnership with service users, other health and social care colleagues, to achieve the optimum health outcome for service users. Work within the scope of practice
