We are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist to work on a temporary basis in Essex. Please see details of the role below: Role Details Role: Band 8a Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist Days: Monday to Friday Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Pay: £36ph Start: ASAP Length: Ongoing Additional Info: Clinical verification of chemotherapy prescriptions This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist to join a specialist cancer services pharmacy team in Essex. At Band 8a level, you will provide expert clinical pharmacy input across oncology and haematology services, with a key focus on the clinical verification of chemotherapy prescriptions. Duties will include chemotherapy screening and verification, providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncology and haematology patients and clinicians, contributing to the development and review of chemotherapy protocols, leading on medicines optimisation within cancer services, supporting and mentoring junior pharmacy staff, and working collaboratively within the oncology multidisciplinary team in line with current BOPA guidelines and best practice. Requirements Current GPhC registration Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience within an oncology or haematology setting Proven experience in clinical verification of chemotherapy prescriptions Strong knowledge of cancer treatment protocols and cytotoxic medicines management Experience in a senior pharmacy role within oncology or haematology services Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and support junior pharmacy staff Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex clinical workload Why work with Cpl UK Healthcare?
