Higher Level Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Job description Job responsibilities To provide ward based, specialist technical pharmacy services to patients. This includes the provision of: Medicines reconciliation appropriate to qualifications Dispensing and issue of prescriptions Advice to patients and carers, including discharge couselling Supply of medicines to wards Liaising wtih external colleagues including GP's, community pharmacies, etc, ward pharmacists, nursing staff, dispensary and stores colleagues in order to supply appropriate medication for ward use and for patient use. To undertake medicines reconciliation in line with departmental procedures and policies. To perform accuracy checks on dispensed and ward stock items prepared by other staff.
