Job description Job responsibilities Duties of the Minor Illness Clinician will include:Assessing and deciding the treatment plan for acute minor illness presentations such as Urinary tract infections (UTIs) Respiratory tract infections (URTI/LRTI) Sore throats Ear symptomsb. Develop, implement and embed health promotion and well-being programmesc. Provide a triage service, actively managing or referring patients or treating patients within own scope of practiced. Provide routine nursing care to patients as required in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSFe. Provide wound care (ulcer /Doppler etc.) to patientsf. Request pathology services as necessary, processing and interpreting results as requiredg. Refer patients directly to other services as appropriateh. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with extant legislationi. Ensure read codes are used effectivelyj. Prioritise health issues and intervene appropriatelyk. Support the team in dealing with clinical emergencies
