Job description Job responsibilities Pharmacy Technician FTC | Pharmacy | Farnham | Private Hospital | 12 Month Contract | Monday-Friday | 37.5 hoursContract Spire Clare Park Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Department on a 12 month fixed-term contract Spire Clare Park Hospital is a modern elective hospital located in Farnham and is rated "Good" by the CQC. The hospital provides a broad range of surgical and diagnostic services, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology and ENT, supported by stateoftheart imaging facilities.Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):Assist the pharmacy team in providing an exemplary pharmacy service to the hospital and its patients, working within your level of competenceContribute to the safe and effective use of medicinesUndertake routine delegated activities accurately and in line with current legislation, professional standards, and Spire Healthcare policies and proceduresPrepare yourself, equipment, materials, and medicines appropriately for specific tasksAccurately dispense medicines according to prescriptions, ensuring all items are checked by a pharmacistPrepare small batches of prepacked and/or overlabelled medicines as required, ensuring pharmacist verificationAccurately record data and information relating to activities and ensure this is passed to the appropriate team member or filed correctlyIdentify and report any significant changes within the pharmacy department or service that may impact patient health and wellbeing Who are we looking for? Previous experience within a pharmacy department (hospital or community)NVQ Level 3Strong teamworking skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly numerate and literateAdministrative experience involving checking and monitoring processesAbility to handle sensitive and challenging situations in a professional and supportive mannerWorking Hours - Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
