Pharmacy Technician (Primary Care)

Job description Job responsibilities To work under the management Pharmacists, Executive GP's and practice Managers within a Neighbourhood footprint delivering a comprehensive medicines management service. Ensuring a safe and efficient service is maintained, delivering a range of medicines management activities including medicines reconciliation and repeat prescription requests To liaise with pharmacy staff in all sectors and other healthcare professionals to ensure a patient orientated medicines management service is provided, conducting medicines reviews for patients identified by the wider multidisciplinary team or from other medicines management initiatives. To work closely with the Clinical Pharmacists & GP's to adopt a team approach to medicines management, acting as a key member of the multidisciplinary team and the wider pharmacy team, providing medicines management advice to healthcare professionals,patients and carers. To work with the Clinical Pharmacists & GP's to develop and undertake medicines management audits, to support discussion within the practice and agree subsequent actions. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within Northumbria Primary Care. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
