Senior Pharmacy Technician System Support/Informatics

Job description Job responsibilities Assist with the management of all aspects of pharmacy IT systems with appropriate liaison with system suppliers and LUHFT Pharmacy and IM&T staff to ensure the continued delivery of their functions To assist in the project management of all upgrades of the electronic prescribing system and ensure all software functions have been tested before going live, and advise on the potential impact within the department. To manage electronic prescribing files and parameters, continually audit data integrity. Assist with the design and maintenance of standing operating procedures (SOP) and training materials to ensure that pharmacy staff know how to operate Pharmacy IT systems correctly deliver training to Pharmacy staff in the use of Pharmacy IT systems Where appropriate, facilitate & provide out of hours support in relation to Pharmacy IT systems Support the Lead Pharmacist for Electronic Prescribing and Pharmacy IT systems manage Develop reporting solutions to support Departmental and Trust objectives Assist with the development of Pharmacy automation where appropriate Undertake dispensing and Final Dispensing Checking duties as required to maintain own dispensing and final checking competence, and to support weekday, weekend, Public Holiday and late-night rotas (Specific to Pharmacy Technician in the post only) For further details / informal visits contact:
