Job description Job responsibilities Job Summary/ Purpose The purpose of the role is: To be an active member of the ICB medicines optimisation team and support the development and implementation and monitoring of ICB medicines optimisation strategy for effective medicines use. Contribute to the implementation of the ICB medicines optimisation work plan. Support the production and analysis of prescribing and financial data to inform the provision of a high-quality, cost-effective use of medicines within the ICB and by prescribers (medical & non-medical). To utilise available prescribing data at ICB level and practice level tofacilitate appropriate, rational and cost-effective prescribing and produce reports for the medicines optimisation team and wider ICB. To work closely with and provide highly specialised professionalpharmaceutical advice to ICB, localities, GP member practices, providers and patients, and effectively input to decisions that relate to medicines optimisation.
